Opening Ceremony

The venue opens at 17.00 for food and drinks. Official programme from 19.00. Our flag parade, opening acts, and a few not-too-long speeches will be followed by a stunning array of performing artists, singers, dancers, and musicians. This promises to be a spectacular evening.We are proud to showcase and welcome on stage the recent Edison winners, Son Mieux. This seven-piece band with lead-singer/songwriter Camiel Meiresonne plays irresistible dance music full of addictive beats, lyrics, and rhythm. The evening offers a contrasting line-up with short performances by the Dutch soprano Deirdre Angenent, and the theatrical star Ellen ten Damme. Pop singer, Merijn van Haren, dancers and poets. The whole dazzling show will close with DJ St. Paul.

Closing Ceremony

The venue opens at 17.00 for drinks and food. Official programme from 19.00. The closing ceremony on Saturday evening 30 July will also take place on the Waalkade. This time we will feature the pop and soul singer Julia Zahra and her band. Julia, a winner of The Voice and De Beste Zangers, is recognizable by her characteristic warm voice and acoustic guitar, she performs beautiful ballads, lyrical pop, and rhythmic R’n’B songs. Next up is the trippy electro hip-hop of Fata Boom, this will certainly get everyone dancing. Lastly, we’ll feature a variety of artists singing the best from the history of pop and rock.
