The last medals were still being handed out at the Running and the Closing Ceremony of the EuroGames was already beginning. With several singers on stage, the field at the Waalkade slowly filled up. Jordan Roy, Emmaly Brown, Nicky van der Kuyp, Peggy Sandaal and Gittty Pregers provided good covers with more and more people singing along. Then came the official part with a retrospective by Mayor of Nijmegen Hubert Bruls and President EuroGames 2022 Nijmegen Henk Beerten. A first version of the aftermovie was shown in which some people on the field already got goose bumps.
After this Julia Zahra took the microphone with beautiful soft songs which prolonged these goosebumps moments. Then it was time for the EGLSF to call this a very nice edition, with lots of friendliness of volunteers and a very good organization. Then the flag from Nijmegen was handed over to the EGLSF who handed it back to Bern. Bern showed a video to show why everyone should come to Bern again, with no less than 27 sports and that from 26 July to 29 July in Bern, Switzerland will take place in 2023.
After this official moment it was time for the music of Fata Boom. Then the singers from the beginning returned and there was a spectacular finale of the gentlemen in high heels with Trinxx. After this there was an official final party in the beautiful hall of de Vereeniging, the Kiss Kiss! This was completely sold out. It was an unforgettable edition of EuroGames 2022 that will be talked about for a long time and is looked back on with great pride! Thank you partners, participants and all volunteers, thanks to you it was super awesome!
