Today is exactly 200 days until the EuroGames take place in Nijmegen. This means that we are entering an important phase. Unfortunately, we still have corona measures and corona is still something to be reckoned with. This we do of course, but whatever else happens, we really believe that EuroGames22 will be able to take place in Nijmegen. Safety first, but of course also with as much fun and togetherness as possible which everyone is looking forward to again!
The 19 sports are fixed. There is no room to add new sports and what will take place on what day is also fixed. Registration to participate or become a volunteer can be done here. The Opening Ceremony on Wednesday evening 27 July and the Closing Ceremony on Saturday evening 30 July. The program in addition to the sports tournaments, both in the village and outside is now being shaped and is more and more established. We cannot reveal everything yet, but we can already say that it looks very promising! If you are interested and able to contribute, please contact us!
We are still aiming for 2500 participants. This means that promotion and visibility will be very important in the coming time. Specific promotion material per sport is now at the printer and can be requested from us. In addition, we are working on online visibility and trying to enthuse everywhere and everyone as much as possible to be present at the largest LGBTQI+ sporting event in the world in 2022.
We look forward to welcoming everyone to our sustainable city of Nijmegen. It is only 1.5 hours by train from Schiphol Airport and Dusseldorf Airport. Eindhoven and Weeze airports are also very easy to travel to. But since sustainability is very important for our event, we recommend everyone to come by train to our city. There are many accommodations in the entire city, but it is also possible to find accommodation just outside Nijmegen in Arnhem or Groesbeek.
